    Case studies in analogue electronics

    Taking measurements is our first job. It includes both mounting the sensor to ensure optimum acquisition conditions and processing the signal at the sensor’s output.

    • Definition of the frequency range to be processed.
    • Adaptation of sensor conditioning to meet this range.
    • Filtering out unwanted frequencies to ensure the best signal-to-noise ratio.
    • Management of acquisition tracks to avoid crosstalk.
    • Card processing to guarantee the best possible EMC.
    • Impedance matching to avoid any unwanted ‘bounce’ in the signal.

    Applications in digital electronics

    Once the measurement has been properly conditioned, it needs to be acquired at the right frequency and with the right processing to avoid any distortion or crosstalk. This is where pure digital comes into its own. You have to be able to process the data very quickly, while at the same time not distorting it.

    • Acquisition of analogue signals.
    • Digital and frequency signal processing (digital encoders, PWM inputs, etc.)
    • Management of time and angle clocks.
    • Digital processing on FPGAs for synchronous acquisition or low jitter real-time processing.

    Power electronics are present in a lot of our equipment. Our achievements in this field can be very large:

    EFS develops and designs autonomous products that communicate by radio frequency transmission.
