INJECTOR QUALIFICATION AND VALIDATION

EFS has been developing and producing injector flow measurement and control systems for internal combustion engines for over 35 years. With the EMI2, EFS equipped all production lines for common rail technology.

Since then, EFS has a complete range of drivers, flowmeters, pressure controllers and test benches of all types for testing diesel and petrol injectors, as well as hydrogen, compressed natural gas, ammonia, heavy fuel oil, kerosene, ethanol, methanol and all bio-derived products.

If you’re developing an injection system or a new engine, we have everything you need to qualify it in RD and production.

YOUR INJECTORS’ SIGNATURE

Qualification of your injectors in RD and production

EFS offers a complete range of products for testing and qualifying all diesel, petrol, CNG, H2, bio diesel or ethanol injectors, ammonia or any other fluid or gas. We are also open to test new types of combustion fluids.

We develop and manufacture in-house RD, production, quality and durability benches to qualify your injectors, using flowmeters and other equipment that have been tried and tested for many years.

  • Shot-to-shot flowmeters to measure injector flow rate
  • Injector drivers (IPoD) to generate the current or voltage required to open the solenoid or piezoelectric injector.
  • Accessories to synchronize the equipment on the test bench, control the customer’s high-pressure pump or acquire different flow measurements in parallel.
  • Injector spray measurement systems using our spray visualization system.

Testing your injectors on our premises on dedicated benches

We can characterize your injectors using a fully-equipped test bench and qualified personnel to carry out a wide range of measurements on your behalf.

  • Measurements to determine injector clogging (measurements before and after running)
  • Measurements to compare injectors (old and new generation)
  • Measurements to characterize the injector (reference injector or prototype)
  • Measurement with specific fluid for effect on injection generation
  • Determination of injector failures (analysis of instabilities in flow rate or spray generation, spray deformation, etc.).
