To generate high pressure at the injector inlet, our customers develop piston pumps with control strategies defined by a pump inlet actuator and one or 2 pump outlet actuators.

Together they optimize the pressure to be generated and the power absorbed by the pump. To validate this product, EFS has developed the HPC (High Pressure Controller) rack, which controls the customer’s actuators according to different strategies and qualifies the pump’s operation.

This equipment, combined with our pump bench, enables us to fully qualify the operation of the pump in terms of speed, flow, pressure and torque, in order to fully map the pump produced. This bench can be used in RD as well as in production. The pump can be clamped manually or automatically.

Qualification of your pumps in RD and production

To meet the needs of high-pressure pump manufacturers in both RD and production, EFS has developed and manufactured a test bench for measuring the characteristics and durability of pumps up to 2700 bar.

The flow rate can be regulated up to 8 l/min. The speed can be adjusted from 0 to 8000 rpm if required and the torque can be varied from 0 to 300 Nm if required.

Dedicated test benches for characterizing your pumps

The EFS test bench can be used to test any type of common rail pump. It is equipped with high-performance Pbench supervision software tailored to your needs (research or production), capable of carrying out automatic measurement cycles and automatically recording and transmitting measurement results.

It can carry out a complete analysis of the pump, from measuring pump capacity using Coriolis flowmeters, comparing measurements and mapping pumps (MAP) using the Edit cycle software. Parameters such as pump speed, pressure, torque and flow rate are measured in this way.
