AC/DC CONVERTER FOR GREEN ENERGY

Customer problem

A company designing small autonomous hydrogen stations asked us to produce a prototype to demonstrate the possibility of generating hydrogen from green energy (wind or solar).

EFS response

EFS is designing a 100 kW AC/DC (400 V 3-phase to 1000 VDC) and 100 kW DC-DC (1000 V DC to 100 V, 1000 A DC) electrical power generator for a distribution cabinet.
The 1000 V DC voltage is the input for green energy (wind power or photovoltaic panels).

 

  • The power generator integrates the power converters and an electrical distribution section to supply an electrolyzer to produce hydrogen.
  • The distribution cabinet, in addition to the power generator, incorporates all the protection for the compressors and the water treatment circuit.
