This DC/DC converter enables a drone to be powered at low voltage (24 V DC) from a very high voltage supply (900 VDC).

Customer problem

A company based in Grenoble wanted to take aerial shots of crowds (sports competitions, music festivals, etc.) using a drone powered by an electric cable. The drone must be able to operate in complete safety (with no risk of the drone falling).

EFS response

EFS answers to design a DC/DC converter to power the drone from a high-voltage supply, which would have the advantage of considerably reducing the mass of the cable and therefore its weight.
