ANALYSIS PROBE FOR DRINKING WATER NETWORKS

Autonomous, connected drinking water analysis system

I-CENSE™ is an analysis probe for drinking water networks. Installed directly on a loaded pipe without the need for a bypass, it enables precise, real-time analysis of 6 essential parameters at a single point.
Completely energy autonomous and communicating, it is mainly used to secure the distribution of drinking water.

Fields of application

  • Securing the distribution of drinking water
  • Monitoring microbiological contamination
  • Disinfection control
  • Sectorisation of leakage flows
Drinking water analysis probe

AUTONOMOUS

Its very low energy consumption means it can run for over a year on battery power (one measurement every 5 minutes).

COMPACT

It takes up very little space (50 cm), so it can be tapped into pipes under load without interrupting distribution.

CONNECTED

The sensor is fitted with a 4G-NBIOT modem for data transmission with threshold alarm management.

RELIABLE

Accurate measurements based on current standards.

A real-time monitoring of drinking water quality

Chlorine measurement principle

Based on the ISO 7393 standard, the I-CENSE ™ drinking water analysis probe provides free chlorine to be measured by colorimetry on a micro-fluidic chip. This reliable and accurate measurement is not dependent on pH or flow rate. It allows continuous operation without cleaning, without calibration for similar results in the laboratory.

Parameters analyzed

  • Free chlorine: by Colorimetry (ISO 7393 standard)
  • Turbidity: by Nephelometry (ISO 7027 standard)
  • Conductivity: 4-pole measuring electrode (ISO 7888 standard)
  • Temperature: measured by PT 1000 sensor
  • Flow: measured by ultrasonic sensors (*)
  • Pressure: piezoresistive measurement
