INDIVIDUAL DISTRESS BEACON
MOBePRO is the new generation of individual “man Overboard” distress beacon.
Its purpose? TO SPEED UP THE RESCUE OF A SAILOR WHO HAS FALLEN OVERBOARD.
When triggered, the MOBePRO alarm and geolocation system generates an alert on the DSC (Digital Selective Calling) system to warn your own boat then boats equipped with DSC receivers, and indicates its position on the AIS (Automatic Identification System)..
MOBePRO is an individual ‘man overboard’ distress beacon developed in accordance with the latest EN 303132 and EN 303098 standards. It complies with the requirements of the RED 2014/53/EU radio equipment directive under certificate no.: 21-112202 – 21-123944.

MOBePRO, FOR SAFE SAILING
THE STRONG POINTS
- No special equipment to install: The beacon is directly connected to the ship’s onboard equipment
- No false alarms: The beacon starts by communicating the alert only to its own boat using the ‘individual call’ by programmed MMSI number. After 12 minutes, if the alert has not been stopped or acknowledged by its own vessel, it broadcasts its alert message to all nearby vessels and coastal stations via ‘calls to all’.
- MMSI number:The 9-digit unique identifier of each vessel can be entered using the onboard VHF radio.
- Low maintenance: After each use, rinse with fresh water at low pressure.
SECTORS OF ACTIVITY
- Fishermen
- Shipowners
- Maritime and river construction companies
- Offshore wind farms
- Sea rescue
- Boating
OPERATION
The MOBePRO, alarm and geolocation system, developed by our electronic desing office, is fitted to the lifejacket of personnel on board the boat. It incorporates a high-visibility white flashlight. The beacon is triggered automatically under two conditions: opening the lifejacket and immersing the wet contactor.
Transmission of the ‘man overboard’ alarm on the DSC communication network first activates an onboard siren, instantly alerting the crew as soon as the beacon is activated. Once the beacon’s GPS position has been calculated, it is updated every minute on the AIS network Once the beacon’s GPS position has been calculated, it is updated every minute on the AIS network.
As the AIS receiver on board is linked to the ship’s charting system, the beacon is displayed on the electronic chart, making it easier to calculate a recovery route.
Each boat in the vicinity of the beacon will also receive a distress signal, as well as the beacon’s precise GPS position, so that it can divert to help.
